BITUMINOUS ASPHALT BENEFITS

The benefits of bituminous asphalt are many. Bituminous asphalt is less expensive than concrete, is easier on vehicles compared to dirt or gravel, and makes a driveway or parking lot easier to maintain. Bituminous asphalt retains heat which makes for a cleaner driveway or parking lot in the winter. The snow and ice will melt faster on a paved surface than a concrete one. Our customers also benefit from increased property value as well as more aesthetic appeal for their property.

NEW CONSTRUCTION

When starting a completely new project, we begin by excavating the area that is to be paved. Next, we install Class Five gravel and compact it to the right specifications. We use laser level technology to ensure proper drainage in the area. Then we pave the driveway or parking lot with bituminous asphalt and roll it out to meet our high standards of excellence.

RECONSTRUCTION

Central Minnesota Paving, Inc. will remove your old asphalt or concrete surface. We will excavate the subgrade and install the proper base materials. Then, we shape the subgrade using laser level technology to ensure proper drainage of the area. Next, we compact the subgrade. Finally, we pave a new asphalt mat and roll it to meet our high standards of excellence. We are able to do all of this at an affordable and competitive price.

OVERLAY

A less expensive method than reconstruction would to overlay an already paved asphalt surface with a fresh lift of asphalt. This method is not as durable as reconstruction, but with proper care, it could last years. We clean the existing pavement, edge the area to be paved, and repair major holes and cracks. We then pave the area with a new lift of asphalt. This is a very affordable alternative which allows the customer to get back aesthetic appeal as well as to keep the area from deteriorating further.

PATCHING

Rather than just filling a hole in your driveway or parking lot, CMP Inc. will saw cut the area to be patched and remove the old asphalt. This insures a longer lasting patch. We excavate, install Class Five gravel, compact and pave the patch with two layers of asphalt. We roll the patch to match the rest of the paved area.
